| Dear MMA FIGHTERS in Japan My name is James Clark. I own the Crystal Fight Club in Minnesota. I have three super heavy weight fighters in my gym. One of them weighs 370 pounds and is a former D-1 WRESTLER. Nobody wants to fight him on the local MMA circuit here. The other two are a former D-1 football player who weighs 400 pounds and the other is a 6 foot 10 muay Thai fighter who has come over to MMA.
I went on Dream's website but regrettably, can not read the Japanese symbols. Could somebody please send me the email contact info for the fight promoters there? I want to get my three big guys some fights. Thank you for your help.

Hi James,
No one has given any input so I will just give you a little peice of information,
Firstly, in Japan we use kg's here, so when contacting promoters about your fighters, please use kg's Most of us have not even learnt pounds and have to convert on the internet haha.
Secondly, you will have an extremely hard time finding a fight for a fighter over 120kg in Japan! These bouts are usually held in the form of super fights which don't come by extremely often.
Thirdly, DREAM is mostly for elite MMA veterans or MMA fighters who have proven themselves to the Japanese officials. It takes quite some time to get a fighter on a DREAM card unless luck is the case...
Most amatuer fighters join the amatuer SHOOTO circuit but there heavyest weight class is -83kg.
Then there is DEEP and ZST which hold alot of amature events, again, will be near impossible finding a japanese fighter that big. The heavyest guy training at my gym/surrounding gyms in Japan is like -83kg
Goodluck, but your chances are slim.
I suggest trying |
